About Todd Todd started riding ponies at the age of six and progressed to hunters and junior jumpers with tremendous success. He started showing at the grand prix level in 1985. Since turning professional, Todd was the Leading Gentleman Rider at the 1990 Washington International Horse Show. He also has the distinction of being the only rider to win the AGA Budweiser Grand Prix of Indianapolis a record 5 times. In 1994 Todd won four Grand prix classes and in 1995, he and 'Ravel' captured the Budweiser Grand Prix of Indianapolis. Starting the 1996 season with a bang he and 'Ravel won the $40,000 UPS Gold Coast Grand Prix. During the 1998 season came a string of four second place finishes starting followed by a change of luck and a streak of three wins. 1999 continued the streak when with 'Playboy'. Todd has captured 5 grand prix wins and one other win with ‘Ravel’. He rode Oh Star to a 4th place finish in the $250,000 American Grand Prix Association Championship and tied for 6th at the Budweiser World Cup Final in April 2000. His fifth place finish at the U.S. Olympic Selection Trials earned him the spot as the Alternate for the USET 2000 Olympic Games Show Jumping squad in Sydney, Australia. In 1997 he and ‘Ravel’ won this countries most prestigious event the $100,000 Budweiser American Invitational held in Raymond James Stadium. In 2001 Todd was named USA Equestrain Horseman of the Year and was awarded the William C. steinkraus Equestrian of Honor Trophy. Oh Star was recognized as the Reserve National Champion Open Jumper. Todd's over all winnings for 2001 exceeded $420,000 and he captured 10 first place finishes. Falkirk Farm is his current base of operation. In his spare time enjoys playing golf and fishing.
