George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Session Provides Mentoring from Equestrian Masters to Young Riders

George H. Morris Horsemastership Training Sessions took place January 15 - 20, 2007, at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, Florida. Eight participants were chosen based on their rankings on the 2006 Bates Equitation List. The curriculum consisted of extensive work with their horses plus training sessions in barn management, nutrition, grooming, conformation, veterinary science, and course design.

The participants were Maria Schaub, Alex Maida, Sloane Coles, Maggie McAlary, Zazou Hoffman, Nick Haness, Julie Welles, and Hardin Towell. The professional mentors were Margie Engle, Laura Kraut, McLain Ward, Todd Minikus, John and Beezie Madden, Lauren Gough, Frank Madden, Viv Munden, and barn managers Laurie Pitts and Karen Golding. . .
